CVMI2026 will also provide a platform for budding PhD scholars who have recently pursued cutting-edge research work at various Research Institutes or Universities, in the areas of Computer Vision and Machine Intelligence. This scheme is open for PhD Scholars of Institutes of National importance like IITs, IIITs, NITs and any other Research Institute or University. Final selection will be done based on the technical relevance of the PhD problem to the conference theme, the quality of working model proposed, and presentation in front of an expert panel.

PhD scholars who have recently defended their PhD thesis during July 2024 – June 2026 can participate. Interested candidates can submit research plan or proposal within 2 pages of extended abstract along with the copies of relevant publications through the CVMI 2026 Microsoft Research Paper Submission Portal (CMT) using the link https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/CVMI2026/ and selecting track name “PhD Colloquium” on or before 30th July 2026. The candidates are are advised to complete the submission process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

Few Points to be noted:

• Selected candidates are required to register for the conference at a special registration rate to be announced and must do a presentation at the conference physically.
• The selected and registered candidate will get a free passport to all the sessions of CVMI 2026.
